At Midway UMC, we have one Circle of
UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
called W.H.I.M. (Women’s Hands In Missions)!

Join us on the first Monday of each month @ 7 pm, in the Christian Fellowship Center (CFC) at Church, to PUT your HANDS to work IN MISSIONS!

Here are some of our 2016 Projects we’ve enjoyed working with:

  • Pastors Pantry in Lexington
  • Scholarship(s) for college students
  • Gates of Zion Holiness Church (to assist with their bus repairs)
  • Shut-In ‘Goodie Bags’ for our members
  • Meals for Genesis Shelter in Lexington
  • School Supplies for Midway Elementary School
  • “College Connection” Boxes
  • Open Arms in Winston-Salem
  • Midway UMC Bus Fund

Typically we fundraise and contribute over $4,000.00 to Mission Projects annually. So come on out and be a part of this wonderful work!

United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. THAT’S OUR PURPOSE!

Blessings,

Our most current project was our Goodie Bags for our "Extented Family" (shut-ins), filled to the top! Most precious within the bags are the "cards" from members of our congregation - thank you church family!
