Ron is originally from Florida but has spent the bulk of his life in the Carolinas. He went to Furman University for his undergrad work and Asbury Theological Seminary for his Masters in Divinity. After serving overseas in the United States Army as a Fire Support Officer, he has served as a children and youth pastor, an associate pastor, planted a church and merged two churches to plant a second church.
He is married to Megan, an art teacher in Forsyth County Schools. They have two adult daughters, McKenna and Molly. Ron loves reading, hiking, camping, biking, whitewater kayaking, and basically anything having to do with the outdoors. He also loves meeting new people and having deep conversations about God and life in general. If you try to talk to him about sports, he is likely to look at you with a blank expression (he is clueless and needs much help in this area :).
Ron believes that following Jesus gives shape and meaning to every aspect of life. Because of this, he has committed his life to invite others to join him in this journey. He feels blessed beyond measure to be able to serve Midway Methodist in this new season.
